With just a few weeks to go until May 1st, I’m ramping up my campaign to ensure as many people as possible know what I stand for and why I’m the right choice for Carbis Bay, Lelant, and St Ives.
Over the past few months, I’ve been out listening to residents talk about local issues, and working hard to bring real action to our community. Now, as election day gets closer, it’s time to step things up.
I’ve started putting my advertising boards up, knocking on doors, and having conversations with people across the parish. The message is clear—people are frustrated with traffic congestion, housing struggles, poor public services, and a lack of real action. These problems won’t fix themselves. You need a councillor who will push for real solutions and get things done, and that is what I will do.
But I can’t do it alone. Running a campaign takes a lot of time, effort, and unfortunately, money. Leaflets, events, and getting the message out all come with costs. If you’d like to help, it would make a real difference in reaching more people.

How You Can Help
If you would like to support my campaign and want to see real change, here’s how you can get involved:
Put up a window sticker or garden board – Visibility is key! If you can display a “Vote Johnnie Wells” sign in your window, garden, or business, please let me know.
Join the campaign team – Whether it’s delivering leaflets, knocking on doors, sharing posts online, or having conversations with neighbours, every bit of support helps.
Help towards campaign costs – Printing leaflets, running events, and getting the message out there, all require funding. If you’d like to chip in to help cover some campaign costs, it would be hugely appreciated.
Spread the word – Tell your friends, family, and neighbours why you’re supporting me. Personal recommendations are one of the most powerful ways to influence an election.
I live here, work here, and care deeply about our community. I want to be a councillor who listens, takes action, and delivers real results for Carbis Bay, Lelant, and St Ives. This election is our chance to make a real change—let’s make it happen together.
